Asaclean
Asaclean is Asahi Kasei Corporation's brand of purging compounds for plastics processing machinery, manufactured in Japan and on the market since 1990. It is the world's best-selling purging compound brand, with a track record across every major plastics-processing industry in more than 77 countries; in Europe it is distributed through the IMCD network.
What Asaclean makes
- Purging compounds — 17 grades, mechanical and chemical, general-purpose and specialised
- Grades for colour changeovers and for material changeovers
- Grades for hot runner cleaning, where material residue is hardest to remove
- Grades for preparing a machine ahead of a planned shutdown, preventing material degradation in the barrel
- The range covers injection molding, extrusion and blow molding
Why use a purging compound
Changeover time is pure non-productive time, and the granulate used to flush the barrel costs more than the purging compound does. That is why the investment pays back within a few changeovers.
- Faster colour and material changeovers — less non-productive time per shift
- Lower consumption of production material that would otherwise become flushing scrap
- Removal of carbon deposits and degraded material that cause black specks and streaks on parts
- Fewer screw pulls — mechanical cleaning of the barrel without disassembly
- Ready-to-use granules, with no drying, no mixing and no line modifications
Asaclean in Serbia and the region
Perotec Systems is the authorized representative for Asaclean in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro.
Beyond supply, we help select the right grade for your material, processing temperature and type of contamination, and define the purging procedure — quantity, temperature and number of cycles — for your specific machine. New users can start with trial quantities, so the effect can be measured on your own production before the compound goes into regular use.

What is a purging compound?
It is a granulate run through the screw and barrel in place of the production material, to remove residues of the previous material, colour and degraded polymer both mechanically and chemically. It is used for colour and material changeovers, before planned shutdowns and for cleaning hot runners.
How much material and time does it save?
Without a purging compound a colour change is done by flushing with production material, which consumes tens of kilograms of expensive granulate and runs until the parts come out clean. A purging compound does the same job with less material and in less time, and with heavy contamination it often removes the need to pull the screw.
Which Asaclean grade should I use?
The choice depends on the material, processing temperature and type of contamination. U Grade is the general-purpose grade for most cases, NewE Grade for the most demanding cleaning, PT Grade for hot runners, and C Grade and CP Grade for engineering polymers. The full range is on the purging compounds page.
Is pre-drying or mixing required?
No. All grades are supplied as ready-to-use granules with no drying, mixing or line modifications — they run on standard injection molding, extrusion and blow molding equipment.
Who supplies Asaclean in Serbia?
Perotec Systems, as the authorized representative. Besides supply, we help select the grade and define the purging procedure for your specific material and machine.
