Star Automation Europe Japanese precision — Italian creativity

Star Automation Europe is the European branch of the Japanese multinational Star Seiki, founded in 1964. From its base in Caselle di Santa Maria di Sala near Venice it has been building cartesian robots and industrial automation systems for the injection molding sector for more than 35 years, combining the technical know-how of its Japanese parent with European engineering and support.

What Star Automation manufactures

Why a Star robot

Automating part removal is not only a labour saving — it stabilises the cycle. Manual removal introduces variation into mold open time, and with it into mold temperature and part shrinkage; a robot performs the same movement at the same moment every time.

  • ±0.1 mm repeatability from prismatic guides with recirculating ball bearings and servo motors
  • Compact layout — the telescopic vertical arm reduces the height needed above the machine, which matters in low-ceilinged halls
  • A standard range rather than custom builds for most applications, shortening lead times and simplifying spare parts
  • STEC control with straightforward path programming, suited to operators with no prior robot experience
  • Configuration flexibility — 3- and 5-axis versions, with an additional vertical axis for three-platen molds or two verticals for stack molds

Star Automation in Serbia and the region

Perotec Systems is the authorized representative for Star Automation Europe in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

We select the robot for your specific injection molding machine — clamping force, stroke, free height — and for the mass and geometry of the part, rather than from a catalogue. We handle mounting on the machine, interfacing with the molding machine control (Euromap), gripper selection or manufacture, path programming, operator training and service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Star Automation manufacture?

Star Automation Europe manufactures cartesian (linear) robots for injection molding machines — the XW-VIP series for part removal, ZXW-VIP for fast cycles, Es-IV as the entry range and Sp-F VI sprue pickers — plus pallet changers, insert loading systems, IML and palletising automation, and Eins end-of-arm tooling components.

What is the positioning accuracy?

The robots use high-quality prismatic guides with recirculating ball bearings and servo motors driving toothed belts, giving positioning repeatability of ±0.1 mm.

Which robot suits my machine?

The choice depends on the clamping force of the machine, the mass and geometry of the part, the free height above the machine and the cycle time. Standard part removal uses the XW-VIP series, very short cycles the ZXW-VIP, and sprue removal alone is covered by the Sp-F VI series. We size the robot against your specific machine and tool.

Can Eins grippers be used on other manufacturers' robots?

Yes. The Eins range of end-of-arm tooling components is developed with Japanese technology and is fully compatible with robots from other manufacturers.

Who installs and services Star robots in Serbia?

Perotec Systems, as the authorized representative — including mounting on the machine, interfacing with the molding machine control, path programming and operator training.
