Star Automation Europe is the European branch of the Japanese multinational Star Seiki, founded in 1964. From its base in Caselle di Santa Maria di Sala near Venice it has been building cartesian robots and industrial automation systems for the injection molding sector for more than 35 years, combining the technical know-how of its Japanese parent with European engineering and support.

Why a Star robot

Automating part removal is not only a labour saving — it stabilises the cycle. Manual removal introduces variation into mold open time, and with it into mold temperature and part shrinkage; a robot performs the same movement at the same moment every time.

• ±0.1 mm repeatability from prismatic guides with recirculating ball bearings and servo motors
• Compact layout — the telescopic vertical arm reduces the height needed above the machine, which matters in low-ceilinged halls
• A standard range rather than custom builds for most applications, shortening lead times and simplifying spare parts
• STEC control with straightforward path programming, suited to operators with no prior robot experience
• Configuration flexibility — 3- and 5-axis versions, with an additional vertical axis for three-platen molds or two verticals for stack molds

We select the robot for your specific injection molding machine — clamping force, stroke, free height — and for the mass and geometry of the part, rather than from a catalogue. We handle mounting on the machine, interfacing with the molding machine control (Euromap), gripper selection or manufacture, path programming, operator training and service.
